Pros&Cons Security and Risk Analysis Center is an independent research and assessment institution that produces scientific analyses based on specialized indicators and data in the field of security. The Center emerged as an idea in 2023 and began its operations in 2024.

With a team composed of experts who have worked in both academia and practice, Pros&Cons conducts studies on counter-terrorism, radicalization, border security, asymmetric conflicts, energy security, critical infrastructure protection, open-source intelligence analysis, and migration–security relations.

Our organization’s main slogan is “Focus to Specialize,” and we concentrate particularly on producing analyses related to security issues directly affecting the Middle East and North Africa regions and Türkiye.

This statement sets out our organization’s approach to preventing modern slavery risks within our own operations as well as across our suppliers and business partners.

Our Activities and Risk Assessment

Pros&Cons’s core activities consist of research, field studies, analytical reports, consultancy services, and training programs.

Although we do not operate in sectors involving direct manufacturing, construction, or high-risk supply chains, we recognize that indirect risks may arise due to field research, logistical services, travel arrangements, and outsourced support services.

In this context, sensitivity to human rights violations, the screening of local partners, and compliance with ethical and legal standards are considered key risk-mitigation measures.

In this regard, basic ethical principles are communicated to newly recruited personnel, project teams receive risk briefings prior to fieldwork, and reporting mechanisms for human rights violations are explained and implemented.

Reporting Mechanisms

Pros&Cons adopts an approach that allows employees or third parties to report suspicious situations safely and confidentially.

No employee will face retaliation for reports made in good faith. Reports are assessed confidentially, and corrective actions are taken where necessary.
