Security Policy
Pros&Cons Security and Risk Analysis Center
Effective Year: 2026
Pros&Cons Security and Risk Analysis Center (“Pros&Cons”) recognizes the protection of its personnel, partners, clients, and the communities it engages with as a fundamental institutional responsibility in all of its activities. Our organization considers security not only as an operational requirement but also as an ethical and legal obligation. Accordingly, Pros&Cons adopts a risk-based, preventive, and continuously improving approach to security management.
Pros&Cons conducts its activities in compliance with applicable national legislation and relevant international standards, and builds its security processes upon systematic risk assessments. Prior to each project and field activity, the threat environment, vulnerabilities, and potential impacts are analyzed, and appropriate protective measures are identified. Travel security procedures, field access protocols, communication guidelines, emergency and evacuation plans, and crisis management mechanisms are developed within this framework and are regularly reviewed and updated.
To ensure the safety of its personnel, the organization provides pre-deployment briefings and security awareness training. For staff assigned to high-risk areas, additional preparation processes are implemented. Physical security measures include office control procedures, access authorizations, visitor management protocols, and equipment protection. In the field of digital security, the protection of information systems, data confidentiality, safeguards against cyber threats, and incident response plans are supported by institutional policies.
Pros&Cons establishes reporting and response mechanisms to ensure that security incidents are managed promptly and effectively. Any security breach, accident, threat, or suspicious situation is recorded, assessed impartially, and followed by the necessary corrective actions. In times of crisis, the protection of personnel, the continuity of communication, and the controlled continuation of operations are among the primary priorities.
In conducting its work, Pros&Cons adheres to the principle of “do no harm,” taking into account local sensitivities and ethical research standards. It is essential that security practices are implemented in a proportionate, lawful manner and with full respect for human rights. Partners and contractors are expected to adopt security standards consistent with this policy.
This Security Policy is reviewed periodically by the management of Pros&Cons and updated in line with internal audits, legislative changes, operational needs, and donor requirements. Upon approval by management, this document enters into force and is binding for all employees, consultants, and contracted parties working under the auspices of the institution.
