Pros&Cons Security and Risk Analysis Center (“Pros&Cons”) adopts a strong duty of care toward its employees, consultants, field staff, partners, and the communities it serves as a fundamental institutional principle. The organization commits to acting in accordance with respect for human rights, the rule of law, transparency, accountability, and the principle of “do no harm.”

While conducting all operations in compliance with applicable national legislation and relevant international standards, Pros&Cons considers the health and safety of its personnel a primary area of responsibility. In particular, for activities carried out in high-risk environments, pre-deployment security assessments are conducted, travel and field risk analyses are prepared, emergency and evacuation plans are developed, and support mechanisms are activated to protect personnel during crises. The organization also recognizes as part of its duty the provision of regular security awareness training and, where necessary, psychosocial support.

Project-based risk assessments are carried out to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities that may arise during operational activities. Security protocols are continuously updated, and incident reporting and crisis management processes are implemented in line with institutional procedures. A systematic and evidence-based approach is adopted to prevent risks, reduce their likelihood, and limit their potential impact.

Pros&Cons places ethical conduct and legal compliance at the core of its institutional culture. Combating bribery and corruption, preventing conflicts of interest, maintaining confidentiality obligations, protecting personal data, enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination and harassment, and operating secure whistleblowing mechanisms constitute the key components of this framework. All employees and partners are required to act in accordance with these principles.

Recognizing its responsibilities toward the communities in which it operates, Pros&Cons carefully considers the local impact of its activities, respects cultural sensitivities, and upholds the principle of informed consent. Maintaining ethical standards in research and field activities and preventing social harm are among its primary priorities.

This statement is reviewed periodically by Pros&Cons management and updated in line with internal audits, legislative changes, and donor requirements. Upon management approval, this document enters into force and is binding for all personnel and partners operating under the institution.
